
Dr. Raffel entered the veterinary field in 2007 as a kennel attendant and has since held every possible position within a vet clinic. She was born and raised in the Milwaukee, WI area, but attended Michigan State University, earning her DVM degree in 2017-GO GREEN!
Dr. Raffel’s professional interests include surgery, anesthesia, wound healing and management, and internal medicine as well as the mental health and well-being of veterinary professionals. Additionally, she is a strong supporter of organized veterinary medicine and serves on multiple boards and committees. She is the co-chair for the Membership Audit and Control Committee of the American Animal Hospital Association, on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and finally on the American Board of Veterinary Specialties committee for the American Veterinary Medical Association.
During her free time, she enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, working out, gardening, hiking, and traveling as much as possible. She currently resides in the Milwaukee area with her dog, Jack, and two cats, Tanner and Rye.
